Oh my god Nana, that Robert De Niro link, I’m in floods of tears watching. That poor wee lassie. Her poor mother. Oh. I’ll have to stop.

Morning Marie, I only managed to watch a little of it and there are other videos similar to that one. As I don’t watch what passes for news on our tvs, I don’t know if these atrocities have been shown. I think it’s important to make people aware oof what is happening although as I warned, it is distressing.

The world right now is in a bad place and the institutions we thought were there to stop these crimes from being committed seem to me to be asleep or perhaps been taken over by warmongerers and arms dealers.

I agree with all that you say Nana.We here in the west, if you do hear any news, it’s so sanitized so as not to upset people. But perhaps we should be shown more of the realities of war, this is real, and people die. It’s horrible, especially when it’s children, but all deaths in this manner are horrible.

When that idiot in the White House made his phone call last week, I could not believe that anyone could be so stupid, and this was the president of the USA. Apparently he did this off the top of his head, no consultation with the Pentagon or anyone else who matters. When it was announced what he had done, I think the world trembled. How he could not forsee what he would unleash on the Kurds, Turkey will try and wipe them from the face of the earth, now all these ISIS prisoners have escaped, lord help us all.

You’re right in what you say about the institutions who should be stopping this, where are they?

    Mornin’ Nana.

Dear lord! That De Niro link makes for a grim start. There are days when you really wonder/(despair) about human kind.

Morning, Nana. The world can be a fearful place and some things are impossible to sit through.

For light relief, I enjoyed Barrhead Boy’s rant once more and his potted history of the English Elites was most entertaining.

The macalbasite’s demolition of GERS was most persuasive too. I don’t understand why the “Scotland’s 7% deficit is the worst in Europe” claim is allowed to go unchallenged by SNP spokespersons. There are so many ways to cut the legs off that one.

      Morning tinto,
I always enjoy Barrhead boy’s posts.

Just took the dug out for a ramble, nice day here. Typical as the grass could do with cutting and of course my minder is elsewhere!
      Any volunteers?? 🙂

The rest of the world must look at all that crapola with increasing incomprehension and contempt, Nana. What an embarrassment it all is.

My bad back aside, I’m sure no-one cuts grass quite like your editor/compositor……

Embarrassing and cringeworthy in equal measure, What an absolute, way over the top expensive farce.

        PS
If all that’s stopping you is a touch of backitis Tinto, I have a large can of WD40 to ease the kinks.

        PPS I have cake 🙂

I hope the lawnmower in chief is battling for us at the Conference. The only way Scotland can help the world [poor Kurds, Catalans etc etc etc] is by regaining independence. We really must not wait any longer before holding our referendum, advisory or not, I don’t care.

We cannot continue to accept the mental cruelty of the Home Office system on “immigrants” nor the DWP cruelty of Universal Credit and pension payments. I despair when I read/hear that it has to be a S30 or nothing.

Thank you, Nana, for the links and the space to comment. I don’t look at or comment on Wings as much as I did, sorry to say.
