I'm monitoring situation in our prisons daily. Rate of infection, prison officer/staff absences all mean the release of some prisoners (deemed low risk, nearing end of sentence) is being actively explored. Public safety, public health & robust risk assessment will be vital

Scottish Secretary Alister Jack latest Cabinet minister to self-isolate over coronavirus symptoms

That last announcement seems to have been greeted by Scots with either "will anybody notice" or "who?"

Great links Ann. Good to see that 50 covid-19 centres have been set up in Scotland. Wonder how long it'll take for Boris to do his Sturgeon copy cat act? Self isolation and lack of condoms = a massive rise in weans around next Xmas / New Year, lol.

@petra

Condoms - not just a potential rise in pregnancies, possibly at a dodgy time if we're not out of CoronaV by then, but since it's a potential worldwide shortage, an AIDS epidemic, such as in countries like Africa. In usual selfish fashion, I don't think the media has copped on to that one yet, more interested in that the cost would be rising, as in

Sorry it's Bloomberg again by the way, just happened to be the first link that looked right and I'm tired now!
